Letter N Crafts for Preschoolers
I have three big kids (ages 3, 5, and 6), 2 of whom are learning preschool at home. So I can usually find someone interested in doing some craft with me! Nosotros like to provide a big collection of ideas for each letter of the alphabet – but not to make you remember that your child should practice all of them! Selection i or 2 (or more than if your child is up for it). I encourage yous to try at least one activeness that'due south more process art than a simple arts and crafts.
What's process art? If a grade full of children would create that project and all their projects would look very different, so it'due south probably process fine art. Process fine art is open concluded. Yous provide the materials and structure, and let your child create. Personally, I like simple crafts equally well. They help teach basic skills and can be fun to make.
Diversity is the spice of life 🙂

North is for Nest
This is plainnot procedure fine art, just my Three really enjoyed it. I cut out the pieces for him, and he glued everything down. I found this Letter N craft idea at Rockabye Butterfly.

Sequined Night Sky
My kids loved painting colorful swirls on white cardstock. Later on their paintings dried, we added glue and dumped colorful sequins on the projects. After tipping off the extras, they had some vivid and beautiful night skies.
Birds in a Nest
My Three used Do-a-Dot markers to decorate the paper plate. And so he glued down the birds, beaks, and eyes. This is more a craft than a process fine art activity, but it has elements of both. Aren't they adorable? You can find a similar idea over at Activity Village.
Neckties
My two preschool boys were excited to practise this simple arts and crafts. I printed the pattern onto colorful cardstock, and they busy with stickers. Later on I had attached yarn to my Three'southward tie and hung it around his neck, he announced he was "off to a meeting." 🙂 I saw this North is for Necktie arts and crafts at Some of This and Some of That.
Melted Crayons Night Sky
Okay, I admit this does non await like a night sky – unless yous are looking at a sky lit upwardly past fireworks. But the kids really wanted me to shave all the colors and not just the ones you'd see at nighttime. They loved painting the foil and watching the crayon shavings melt on their pictures the following mean solar day. You tin can find a motion-picture show tutorial for this fine art with melted crayons at Happy Hooligans.
Noah's Ark
Both of my preschool boys enjoyed this uncomplicated shape craft. Calculation the cream animal stickers was a bonus, of form! I saw the original thought hither.
Noodle Necklaces
The kids used glitter tempera paint to decorate these noodles. Later a day and a one-half, the noodles were dry out enough to string onto necklaces. Art, fine motor, and style rolled into i. 🙂
Noodle Painting
This procedure fine art was simple and fun for my Three, 5 and Six. (My One sat in my lap and swirled a paintbrush on a paper plate). We used cooked wide noodles to create these projects. Run across a noodle tracks tutorial over at Tippytoe Crafts.
Newspaper Neighborhood
Finally, my Iv created this newspaper neighborhood. He painted sections of newspaper with watercolor. I cut out shapes for him, which he assembled into buildings. Then he was given permission to use a Sharpie to add details (this was his favorite role).
I hope you've found a projection your child or grade will enjoy!
